Dear Springboard community,
We’re writing to you in this unprecedented time in the hope of bringing you peace of mind in the best way we know how—by offering you our continued support and mentorship.
Since we co-founded Springboard in 2013, our goal has been to foster a global community of students, mentors, and educators, connected and empowered by technology’s incredible ability to bring people together.
Today, in the wake of COVID-19, we face a different and much more challenging landscape.
From uncertainty over future healthcare costs and job security to adjusting to work from home, many of us are still adapting to our new reality.
In these trying times, we want to offer additional support in your commitments to education and personal growth. Our dedicated network of mentors, career coaches, student success managers, and the rest of the Springboard team are working tirelessly to ensure that you continue to feel supported in your learning and teaching journeys.
Now, as online learning is fast becoming the new norm, the Springboard community has a distinct advantage: while the rest of the world is hastily adapting to the challenges of remote working and learning, our platform was purposely built this way from the beginning. This is how we’ve always operated, and how we’ve launched thousands of successful careers.
We are seeing increased demand for Springboard’s programs across the country and around the world, and we’re thrilled to welcome new students to Springboard today—and every day. Seeing that so many people have faith in us only deepens our commitment to community success. So, to our current Springboard family, we want to say thank you, and we’re available as always to help.
And to those who are just joining us, we want to show you what we can do. We recently announced a number of initiatives to support our community during this difficult time, including:
- Free career coaching for all. In an effort to share our resources and insights with the broader community, we have opened up our career coach availability to everyone who is not a member of the Springboard community. Every week, we’ll be hosting live Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions featuring expert job searching advice. These sessions are free and open to everyone.
- Free access to our prep courses. If your livelihood has been affected by COVID-19, we are also offering free access (including mentor calls) to our Software Engineering Career Track Prep Course and Data Science Career Track Prep Course.
- COVID-19 scholarships. Our COVID-19 scholarship fund will award up to $500,000 to prospective eligible students whose lives have been directly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The fund has been made possible as a result of a contribution from our tireless Springboard mentors, who are generously waiving a percentage of their honorariums. Springboard has also pledged to match the amount waived 2:1.
As we continue to navigate through these confusing times, we recognize the criticality of feedback: everyone in our community should have a voice. So please, reach out to us with questions, suggestions, or whenever you need a little confidence boost. We’re at email@example.com.
Whether it’s online or IRL, we’re here to help.
