{"id":40845,"date":"2023-01-17T17:00:01","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T01:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.springboard.com\/blog\/?p=40845"},"modified":"2023-01-17T17:03:02","modified_gmt":"2023-01-18T01:03:02","slug":"springboard-gsv-150","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.springboard.com\/blog\/news\/springboard-gsv-150\/","title":{"rendered":"Springboard Recognized as One of 2022\u2019s Top Education Companies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With the higher ed landscape continuously evolving to meet the pressing need for competency-based learning and digital upskilling, we\u2019re excited to announce that <strong>Springboard has been selected as part of the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asugsvsummit.com\/gsv-150\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>GSV 150<\/strong><\/a><strong>,<\/strong> which recognizes the 150 most transformational growth companies in digital learning and workforce skills development that are shaping the future of education.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gsv.ventures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GSV Ventures<\/a> is a venture firm investing in tech entrepreneurs creating solutions in the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pulse\/pre-k-gray-joana-jebsen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pre-K to Gray<\/a>&#8221; digital education skills market: a term describing how lifelong learning continues indefinitely. This emerging education model calls for differentiated solutions for adult and professional learners versus so-called &#8216;traditional&#8217; students.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s GSV 150 involved a rigorous assessment of over 4,000 venture capital and private equity-backed companies\u2014an unprecedented number compared to years past, given the e-learning industry\u2019s exponential growth in 2021. Companies selected for the GSV 150 are required to meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>VC or PE-backed companies in digital learning and workforce skills, excluding public and nonprofit companies&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Companies that have achieved meaningful scale, and primarily, but not exclusively, those that are post-Series A in their development&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Companies experiencing solid, organic top-line growth&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>GSV estimates that the companies selected this year reach approximately 3 billion people\u2014or close to half of the global population\u2014and generate about $25 billion in revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Springboard is honored to be recognized amongst other companies committed to expanding access to education.
