Today, a majority of tech jobs are at companies outside the tech sector in industries like banking, retail, health care, and manufacturing, whose operations are increasingly becoming digital. These mainstream companies continue to invest in tech skills.

Despite the widespread layoffs, hiring freezes, and cost-cutting taking place in tech, many tech workers are finding reemployment remarkably quickly. They’re still the most sought-after workers with the most in-demand skills.

Yes. All of Springboard’s courses are 100% online. That means you can learn in your space, at your pace, day or night.
And just because you are learning online, doesn’t mean you are learning alone. With Springboard, you get a team committed to your success — one-on-one expert guidance from a mentor, a career coach to support you in landing the job you want, and a student advisor to help you navigate the ins and outs of the course. Plus, you’ll build connections with other ambitious students, just like you, who will be growing alongside and helping support you every step of the way.
This course is for people who want to get a job in UX Design. We're invested in helping you reach your career goals. Part of that commitment is ensuring you know where to start, and which course is best to get you there.
For the UX Career Track, we require candidates to have at least one year of documented paid professional experience or hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas:
Understanding users -- user research, HCI, human factors
Producing/managing visual content -- graphic design, industrial design, architecture, fine/studio arts
Developing digital products -- UI design
Don’t meet the requirements? Our 9-month UI/UX Design Career Track welcomes students from all backgrounds as long as you can demonstrate strong visual, creativity, and communication skills.
The technical skills survey is designed to assess your ability to: 1) empathize with users; 2) generate ideas; and 3) justify your design decisions.
We’re not looking for perfect answers — you’re not a UX design pro yet! Rather, we want to get a better sense of how you approach a problem scenario and the creative ways you propose to solve it.
The survey is not timed but, for reference, most students take less than 60 minutes to complete it.
This survey will allow us — and you — to assess your readiness for the course. If you find it difficult and are not able to successfully answer a majority of the questions, don’t worry! We have great options for you and can advise you on the best next steps after you’ve submitted the survey.
The UX Career Track is approximately 350+ hours. Most students complete the course in 6 months, devoting 15-20 hours/week.
You should expect to take the full 6 months, but can aim to complete it in less time if you are: highly proficient in design thinking; are ready to devote more time per week to complete the curriculum materials; and are driven and disciplined with managing your study schedule.
