What you'll learn
The curriculum is split into 25 units and features a combination of videos, in-depth articles, hands-on design projects, and career-related coursework.

Examine the philosophy from which user-centered design (UCD) and many innovation frameworks have emerged: design thinking. Grounded in empathy and a hands-on, iterative approach to problem solving, design thinking is the mindset you’ll use to create effective user experiences. The key aspects of design thinking include:
Empathy: observe and engage the people you’re designing a product for
Problem definition: a good solution depends on addressing the right problem
Ideation: a good solution depends on addressing the right problem through divergent and convergent thinking, consider many possible solutions
Prototyping: test those possible solutions
Testing: get feedback from real people that will help you improve your ideas and create solutions

Build a unique portfolio of projects
In addition to mini-projects to reinforce specific design concepts, you'll complete three portfolio projects, including the capstone project. This will be the highlight of your portfolio.
While working on the projects, you'll:
Identify a customer problem to solve
Conduct competitive research
Sketch, design, and build a prototype
Perform usability testing and identify improvements
Gain real-world UX experience
You'll be matched with a real company to complete a 40-hour industry design project that solves a business problem.
While working on the industry design project, you'll:
Collaborate directly with a client for four weeks
Dive deeper into an area of the UX design process you’re especially interested in: competitive research, user research, usability testing, redesign recommendations

This UX bootcamp is for people who demonstrate an aptitude toward problem solving, have strong communication and collaboration skills, and have a background in adjacent fields.
Prerequisites
Aptitude toward problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
At least 1 year of documented professional experience or a degree in a user, design, or development oriented fields. For example: graphic / visual / UI design, psychology, research, web dev, marketing research or strategy.

This course is for people who want to get a job in UX Design. We require candiates to have academic or professional experience in user design or development oriented fields. Examples include:
- Graphic / Visual / UI Design
- Psychology
- Research
- Web development
The technical skills survey is all free-form answer and is designed to assess your ability to: (a) Empathize with users; (b) Generate ideas; (c) Justify your design decisions.
We’re not looking for perfect answers — you’re not a UX Design pro yet! Rather, we want to get a better sense of how you approach a problem scenario and the creative ways you propose to solve it.
The survey is not a timed but, for reference, most students take less than 60 minutes to complete it.
This survey will allow us — and you — to assess your readiness for the course. If you find the test difficult and are not able to successfully answer a majority of the questions in each section, don’t worry! We have great options for you, and can advise you on best next steps after you’ve submitted the survey.
There are 4 payment options (all of which come with our job guarantee as long as you meet eligibility requirements). Our two standard payment plans are:
- Monthly Plan: You pay $1199 per month, only for the month's you're enrolled (most students complete within 6 months).
- Upfront payment: You pay $5,900 upfront for 6 months. This is a 18% discount on the monthly plan.
In addition, we have 2 other payment options. These are available by application to qualifying US citizens and permanent residents. If you are not a US citizen or permanent resident, you can still apply for financing with a fully qualifying co-borrower who is a citizen or permanent resident - as long as you both have a US address.
- Deferred Tuition: You pay a $500 deposit upon enrollment to confirm your seat (that's a discount on the normal $1,190/mo plan). Then, you’ll pay the remaining tuition ($7,680) only when you land a job using your newly learned skills. You can pay that final balance in 12 monthly installments of $640. The remaining tuition will be waived if you don’t get a job, and maintain eligibility, within six months of graduating!
- Climb Credit loan: Available by application to qualifying US citizens and permanent residents. If you are not a US citizen or permanent resident, you can still apply for financing with a fully qualifying co-borrower who is a citizen or permanent resident - as long as you both have a US address.
If approved, you pay $500 deposit to confirm your seat. You can finance the remaining $6,694 through a loan. You’ll make small interest-only payments for the first 6 months. After that, you will pay 36 monthly payments of $217-240 each. Learn more here
