Certified Medical Assistant Career Program

The Certified Medical Assistant Career Program prepares students for CCMA certification and entry-level MA roles through a 4-month, flexible online curriculum and hands-on externship. You’ll gain essential clinical, administrative, and patient care skills, supported by dedicated advisors, coaches, and MA experts. With your CCMA certification, you'll graduate job-ready.

Time commitment: 4 months, part time - plus a 2-4 month externship.

Real-world projects:

  • Throughout the program, complete a series of simulation assignments related to clinical patient care, vital signs and body measurements, lab tests and procedures, phlebotomy, and EKG and PFTs.

  • Put your skills to work and gain clinical experience in your externship. Springboard supports locating a placement, and you'll complete between 80-150 clinical hours, ensuring you're job-ready!


Prerequisites:
Previous experience in healthcare is not required.  Applicants must meet these minimum requirements for this program:

  • Reside in an eligible city for this program: California, Colorado, Massachusetts, New York, or South Dakota.

  • 18 years of age or older and strong proficiency in English

  • High School Diploma or greater

  • Not enrolled in another school while taking this course

  • Consistent access to required computer and reliable internet

  • Experience using tech tools/platforms (like video games or Microsoft Word)

  • Ability to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

  • Willingness to submit to a background and drug screening

  • Willingness to submit proof of vaccination
