Fullstack Academy and Hack Reactor are both online bootcamp course providers, with Hack Reactor focusing solely on coding bootcamps and Fullstack offering more options.

Hack Reactor offers two bootcamp options: a 19-week beginner coding bootcamp and a 12-week intermediate coding bootcamp. Both of these are full-time courses, making them extremely comprehensive and detailed. The schedule is fully immersive, with live classes, discussions, and lab work taking place throughout the 9am-7pm study day. Including class time and independent study, the program expects students to put in around 40-60 hours per week.

Fullstack’s courses are similarly structured, though many of their offerings also have part-time options. Like Hack Reactor, however, their Beginner Coding Bootcamp is full-time only and 19 weeks long. Their non-coding options—cybersecurity, data analytics, and product management—have both full-time and part-time options, or are part-time only. Part-time courses at Fullstack are not self-paced and require students to attend up to three live classes per week.

Career services are offered by both schools in the form of career coaches, interview prep, networking, resume optimization, salary negotiation practice, and more. Fullstack Academy also connects graduates with their partner companies to help job placements happen.

During these 1:1 sessions, students get the chance to update their resumes, develop their LinkedIn and other social profiles, and start figuring out which job opportunities best match their new skills and individual strengths. Mock interviews and a GitHub project portfolio advice also help students learn how to best showcase themselves and their value to potential employers.

At Fullstack, students receive an entire year of career support after graduation from their Career Success Team. How much do courses cost at Hack Reactor and Fullstack Academy?

Hack Reactor charges one price for both of their full-time coding bootcamps: $17,980. Financing options include upfront or split payment, income share agreements (ISAs) or retail installment contracts (RICs), full-tuition scholarships, veteran benefits, or loan payments through Ascent or Climb.

At Fullstack, all of the coding bootcamps cost $19,910. The cybersecurity bootcamp costs $17,980 and both the data analytics and product management courses cost $13,495. Students can pay upfront, receive tuition reimbursement from their employer, apply for government assistance, use military veteran benefits, or pay with a personal loan using Climb, Ascent, or Upstart.

Hack Reactor and Fullstack Academy are committed to getting their graduates into new careers in tech and reporting transparent results. Both schools publish job reports that show how many of their students graduate and find jobs within their desired industries.

At Hack Reactor, results for 2021 show a 70-75% graduation rate with around 85% of graduates finding a role within 180 days. The 2019 report from Fullstack shows an 84.7% graduation rate with 91.3% of graduates securing in-field roles within a year of graduation.
