Ready to launch your career?

At Springboard, we’re on a mission to bridge the world’s skills gap by helping as many people as possible access high-quality, affordable education that they can translate into new-economy roles in fields like data science. We understand that investing time and money in education is a big commitment—and one that not everyone can comfortably make.

With that in mind, we’re launching a new payment option: deferred tuition. This plan allows qualified students who are accepted into our Data Science Career Track to begin the course with just a small upfront deposit. Students then pay a fixed amount per month only after starting a new job paying $50,000 a year or more following the course. If they don’t find a job after graduating, the course is completely free—and that initial deposit will be refunded.

Keep in mind that the Data Science Career Track already comes with a job guarantee. Students who pay upfront or month-to-month tuition receive a full refund if they don’t get a job after completing the course.

We’re proud of that offer. And we’re even prouder that we’ve yet to issue a refund.

Additionally, of the nearly 800 students who were eligible for the job guarantee and who enrolled in the Data Science Career Track as of May 2018, the average reported salary increase was $19,919. So our students aren’t just finding new jobs, they’re launching new careers and truly leveling up. (You can find additional student outcome information here.)

Part of this success is attributable to our continued improvements to the Data Science Career Track. We completed a major curriculum update late last year, adding deep learning and machine learning units in addition to increasing the size of our career services team.

Since our inception, we have served thousands of students around the world, using a combination of best-in-class curricula, project-based deliverables, one-on-one mentorship, and top-notch career coaching—all aimed at giving students an advantage in the job market. By lowering one of the biggest barriers to entry—upfront tuition costs—we hope to equip even more learners with the skills they need to find a job they love.
