Full-time courses at Springboard are competitively priced, and you’re unlikely to find another provider offering the same quality of education at a lower cost.
Hack Reactor and App Academy are both bootcamp providers that focus solely on coding courses. Hack Reactor currently offers only full-time courses but has part-time versions in development. Students at App Academy, on the other hand, can choose from a full-time in-person program, a full-time online program, and a part-time online program.
Courses at both schools are months long, with Hack Reactor’s beginner coding camp taking 19 weeks and App Academy’s full-time online program lasting 24 weeks. The two curriculums teach beginner-level programmers skills like Python, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, React, and more.
In addition to a hands-on curriculum, students at these schools benefit from a range of career services to help turn their new skills into a well-paid entry-level role. Coaching sessions with career specialists help students develop a job-search strategy based on their individual strengths and passions. Resume writing, interview practice, and wage negotiation training are also available.
Hack Reactor and App Academy also work with companies to upskill existing teams or provide recruitment services. This is beneficial for graduates as they can be connected with partner companies for job opportunities, potentially speeding up the job search process.

Online cohorts and live classes are great if you have the freedom to attend them, but we know that isn’t available to everyone. With the flexible schedule of Springboard’s Software Engineering Bootcamp, even busy full-time workers can enroll and work at their own pace.
Our courses produce thoroughly trained graduates ready to take on their first tech role. We’re so confident about this that we offer a full refund if you don't land a job after graduation.
At Hack Reactor, students receive 1:1 coaching from trained professionals to help them plan, adjust, and stay on top of their job search. Even when you’re fully trained and ready to work, job searching is never easy and it’s useful to have someone to talk to and keep you accountable. These sessions also provide the chance for students to get professional advice and guidance on their resumes, social channels, interview skills, and GitHub profiles.
The final weeks of the App Academy coding curriculums are dedicated to portfolio-building and preparing for the job search. Students will create a capstone project focusing on React, Redux, and the back-end language of their choice. There are workshops on resume writing, networking, application strategies, and personal pitches. Personal career coaches are also available for individual advice.
At Hack Reactor there are currently only two types of courses available, the beginner full-time coding course and the intermediate full-time coding course. Both cost a fixed price of $17,980 and can be financed through upfront payment, income share agreements (ISAs), retail installment contracts (RICs), full-tuition scholarships, veteran benefits, or loan payments.
At App Academy, the full-time in-person coding course costs $17,000, the full-time online course costs $14,000, and the part-time online coding course costs $16,000. Students can finance their education with App Academy through upfront payment, ISAs, and deferred tuition. While the upfront cost is $14,000, ISAs and deferred plans can cost a maximum of $31,000 over three years.
Hack Reactor’s curriculum is designed to produce job-ready full-stack developers trained in essential skills such as Python, Django, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, FastAPI, and more. With every module culminating in a hands-on project, students learn more than just theory—they learn exactly what they’ll need to do on a daily basis on the job.
The App Academy program also encompasses both front-end and back-end development, beginning with useful modules in programming fundamentals and computer science. Students master skills and tools such as Express, SQL, Object-relational mappers, React, Hooks, Redux, and Web Sockets. Weeks 17-20 focus solely on Python and its libraries.
