What were you doing before Springboard?

I was a student of computer science at Earlham College. I saw the trend in the CS world moving to more and more attention to data. I also enjoy soccer and saw the application to that field.

What was your learning experience like?

It was enjoyable. I like the freedom that working whenever gave me. It was hard to handle at first and I had to set goals for every day and every week to make sure I was accomplishing something. I enjoyed the mentorship part and getting to talk with someone in the field. He was very helpful in giving me an understanding of the field.

What was your capstone project?

I created a joke recommendation system. So, you like some jokes and then I start recommending jokes I think you will like.

What are you up to now?

I am a software engineer in Cincinnati.

What advice do you have for those considering online learning?

Make sure you have a schedule set so that you don't waste time. And also, pursue a capstone project that you are interested in, not just what seems easy.
