Ready to launch your career?

We’re excited to announce that Springboard has partnered with Gonzaga University, a Jesuit liberal arts institution in Spokane, Washington, to deliver two of its bootcamps through Gonzaga’s Center for Lifelong Learning.

The partnership will allow students to build high-demand technical skills while earning a professional certificate through the following programs:

Both courses provide a carefully measured blend of technical skills development, collaborative project-based learning, and career support to help students advance within their current profession or launch a new career in one of these high-demand fields.

Why has Springboard partnered with Gonzaga University?

With the higher ed landscape continuously evolving to meet the pressing need for competency-based learning and digital upskilling, Springboard’s university partnership model is designed to make our programs more accessible and help professionals prepare for the workforce of the future.

According to a recent report by Citrix, 82% of employees and 62% of HR directors believe workers will need to reskill or upskill at least once a year to maintain a competitive advantage in a global job market.

As an online-first education provider, Springboard offers a robust virtual learning experience and high-engagement support resources that students need. These support resources include an industry mentor currently working in the field—Springboard’s mentors represent experts from both Fortune 500 companies and high-growth startups—as well as professional career coaches and student success advisors, all of whom are dedicated to motivating students and keeping them accountable to their ultimate goal of advancing their career.

What can students expect from the Gonzaga Software Engineering Bootcamp?

Demand for software engineering professionals continues to grow: the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that the job outlook for software developers, QA analysts, and testers will grow 25% from 2021-2031.

In the Gonzaga Software Engineering Bootcamp, students will learn both front- and back-end development, databases, data structures, and the most popular technologies and tools software engineers use today. Students will learn from acclaimed Udemy instructor Colt Steele, with the chance to apply their skills through hands-on projects and real-world tasks. Finally, they’ll graduate from the bootcamp with a capstone project and develop a robust portfolio to attract the eye of future hiring managers.

What can students expect from the Gonzaga Cybersecurity Bootcamp?

The global cybersecurity workforce reached historic levels in 2022, with 4.7 million people in the profession, according to (ISC)2 2022 workforce study. Nevertheless, the same study found a remaining shortage of 3.4 million security professionals, an increase of over 26% from 2021.

The Gonzaga Cybersecurity Bootcamp is a 360-hour bootcamp that covers industry fundamentals, systems and network security, vulnerability assessment, and security operations, followed by a capstone project designed to showcase specialized skills to potential employers.

In addition, the bootcamp includes a complete mock exam designed to help students prepare for the globally recognized CompTIA Security+ exams. Students will receive a free voucher to sit for the exam and optional 1:1 career coaching.

What happens after students complete the bootcamps?

Upon completion, graduates of both bootcamps will be issued a professional certificate from Gonzaga University and Springboard. They will have gained real-world experience via a personally matched industry mentor and career coaches, plus the experience of participating in a set of portfolio-ready work projects.

Both certificate programs are designed as self-paced and part-time offerings, ready to take students from technical beginners to job-ready professionals in a few months.
