UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) are related terms in the field of design, but they refer to different aspects of the overall user experience. UI (User Interface) focuses on the visual and interactive elements of a product or service. UX (User Experience), on the other hand, encompasses the entire user journey and aims to create a positive and meaningful experience for users. UI/  UX go hand-in-hand but are very different.

UI and UX designers often collaborate closely during the design process. They share insights, conduct user research, and work together to align the visual design (UI) with the overall user experience (UX).

UI/UX design involves an iterative process of research, design, testing, and refinement. UI designers implement the visual elements based on UX research findings, and UX designers validate their concepts through user testing and iterate on the design.

UI and UX interrelate through collaboration, user-centered design principles, an iterative design process, and effective communication. Both disciplines contribute to creating intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly experiences for products and services.

The UX Design Career Track bootcamp requires candidates to have; 

• At least one year of documented paid professional experience

• Or hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas:

• Understanding users -- user research, HCI, human factors

• Producing/managing visual content -- graphic design, industrial design, architecture, fine/studio arts

• Developing digital products -- UI design

After you submit your application, our admissions team will follow up with a phone call to review your application and answer any questions you have. 

Step 3: Take the technical skills survey 

Next, we’ll send a skills survey to figure out what you already know, so you’re set up for success from the beginning. If you’re new to the field, don’t worry — we’ve got a plan for everyone.

Step 4: Reserve your spot

When you pass the survey, we will send you a registration link. Choose the start date and payment plan that works for you! Then get ready to transform your career.

To accelerate your career shift into user experience design, you'll be matched with a real company to complete a 40-hour industry design project that solves a business problem.

While working on the industry design project, you'll:

• Collaborate directly with a client for four weeks

• Dive deeper into an area of the UX design process you’re especially interested in: competitive research, user research, usability testing, redesign recommendations

• Set yourself apart from other bootcamp graduates with a personalized portfolio

There are conditions that graduates must meet in order to be eligible for the Springboard Job Guarantee. We are transparent about these because we want you to be a success. We have your back and ask for an equal commitment from you. In order to be eligible for the Springboard Job Guarantee, you must: 

• be 18 years or older

• hold a Bachelor’s degree from any educational institution in any subject, which is still a requirement by most employers for these roles

• be proficient in spoken and written English, as determined by initial interactions with our Admissions team

• be eligible to legally work in the United States, or in Canada if applying for positions in Toronto, for at least 2 years following graduation from the Career Track

• be able to pass any background checks associated with jobs that you apply for

• apply to at least 4 positions per week and network with at least 3 contacts per week during the job search period, dedicate sufficient time and effort to your search, respond promptly to all communications from career coaches, and follow the job search process recommended to you by the Springboard career coaches

If you enroll but do not qualify for the job guarantee, you will still receive access to the full course curriculum, including career modules and 1:1 career coaching.

There are several payment options (all of which come with the Springboard Job Guarantee as long as you meet eligibility requirements), so you can fund your future however suits you best.

• 20% discounted upfront payment: You pay $7,900 upfront ($9,900) 

• Month-to-month: You pay $1,590 per month while you are enrolled in the program. If you take 6 months to graduate, your total payment is $9,540. If you graduate sooner, you pay less!

In addition, we have two other payment options — deferred tuition and a financed tuition loan.

Yes, you can finance your tuition with a loan. If approved, you can start by paying as little as $45 - $149 per month for the first 6 months. Learn about the application process on Climb Credit's website. Only available for U.S. residents.

We also have a deferred tuition payment plan. With this payment plan, you can pay an initial upfront deposit ($500) and then not pay anything else until you start a job. After starting a new job, you will make monthly payments of ~$376 over 36 months. Only available for U.S. citizens/permanent residents.

Yes! Once you successfully complete the course and all the projects, you will receive a signed certificate of completion.

A UX bootcamp is a short-term, intensive program that teaches you the fundamentals of user experience (UX) design.
