A step-by-step walkthrough - this is how we designed this course to get you job ready with in-demand business analytics skills
First, we did some good-old data crunching
We analyzed over 50,000 data analyst and business analyst job postings across the web to identify the most common keywords and in-demand skills and tools.
Next, we interviewed 15 hiring managers
We spoke with Directors and VPs of Analytics at eBay, Facebook, Credit Karma, Amazon and more -- about the tools they use and what they look for in top candidates.
Finally, we worked with experts to build case studies
Our curriculum is based on the most in-demand skills and tools, and common interview problems. It was built by a team of analytics experts and instructional designers for maximum effectiveness.
For years, top consulting firms (like McKinsey, BCG and Bain & Company) and business schools have used case studies to train leaders at the world’s best companies. Harvard Business School, a pioneer of this form of instruction, calls the case method “a profound educational innovation that places the student in the role of the decision maker.”
Early in my career, I benefited from the case based approach. I found that picturing myself as the protagonist of a case ensured that I retained its learnings years after I first encountered them.
With this course, I want you to build the analytical muscle that will let you solve any business problem using a structured, hypothesis-driven approach. The case study method will help you achieve that goal, by getting your hands dirty while you refine your approach with your mentor. Some of our graduates have even cited Springboard case studies in job interviews.
We hope you enjoy working through the cases as much as we enjoyed creating them!
You'll learn to apply analytical tools and frameworks in the context of 5 real-life case studies. This case-based method is inspired from top business schools.

We follow a case-based teaching method where you solve five case studies simulating real-life problems you are likely to encounter on the job. Core topics include spreadsheet modeling, forecasting, root cause analysis, customer segmentation, and funnel analysis.
You’ll interact 1-on-1 with your personal mentor every week in a 45-minute video call. Your mentor will help with technical knowledge and career guidance.
